The Workshop

The Tactile: Touch Your Writing

Is poetry words only? Or is it a concept, an experience, a conduit? Some stories want more than words; some poems yearn to be something else. So, why should poetry limit itself to one medium when its essence is liminal? In this workshop, we’ll explore ways to weave richer stories and dimensional layers, not always achievable with words alone, by using our hands and physical materials. We’ll ignite our minds and hearts in a new way. There will be no use of digital elements in any part of this class, but you may get a cute package in the mail.

For this virtual workshop experiment, brooklyn will be mailing materials to our workshop attendees! To better accommodate the intimate space of this particular workshop, we will be capping attendance at 10 individuals and closing registration by May 17th – whichever comes first!

As such, if you are no longer able to attend, please be considerate and let us know so we might open a spot for someone.

Due to expensive and unpredictable international shipping, our international attendees will not receive items in the mail, but will get a list of similar items included so you can be prepared for the workshop!
