We can all feel the seasonal shift within our bodies. Warmth is dwindling as we step outside, bundled in extra layers. Light is scarce, the sun falling behind the horizon earlier and earlier each day. In these times we turn inward, into our homes, into our selves. We surround ourselves with wintery traditions and loved ones to find joy and community amid the dwindling warmth and light. With elongating nights, we find beauty and stillness in the changes that rest within out bones.
Co-Editors-in-Chief Stephanie Michele and C. M. Chady are enamored with this time of year and the contemplation and reflection that it encourages. We are enwrapped in contradictions, holding warmth and cold, community and solitude. To build up to the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, and hence the longest night of the year, our editors lead you through inspirational and contemplative exercises to root you in your creative practice.
